Summary
The free androids of Detroit start building their brand-new future, but peace is only relative in the troubled times that follow a revolution. One of the major figureheads of the revolution and finally a deviant, Connor now has to learn how to handle free will. The AI that both guided and punished him is gone, but at a price, and he struggles with his newfound freedom when guilt and fear are the crumbling foundations of his new life.
They say they want him there with them, but Connor can't understand why. He's afraid of himself and what he's capable of, afraid that maybe these feelings don't have their place within him.
Despite all the doubts he may have, Connor finds that he desperately wants to live, because whenever he feels himself slipping and falling, they're here to catch him.

Alice never thought that she would ever encounter the deviant hunter in any other place but her nightmares. She saw him get crushed by the truck on the highway and yet here they are, both alive, standing in the middle of New Jericho. Alice has many dark fears that always linger in her head and Connor is one of them; but Alice is a brave little girl, and a brave little girl is able to tell when her big monster is sad.

The Revolution is far from over, Markus knows. There are so many changes that will have to come; socially, politically, legally. What he didn't realize is that spending so much time with Connor would make some of these changes much more...personal.
Connor is lost, searching for a new mission and Markus can help. But he's beginning to think that it might not be as straightforward as all that, now.
(He might only have started feeling real emotions just last week, but all this is normal, right??)

Android children get tired of being cooped up all the time, just like human children. While February might not be the ideal time to go on a lake trip, it gives Connor some time to get more comfortable with the children of New Jericho. Markus, of course, needs no such adjustment period.
Sleeves are rolled up, shoes are taken off, and dead lake life becomes the topic of existential conversation. -

“The first thing I remember disliking was my name actually.” And it’s in the way he said it, voice delicate and wistful, climbing its way from the most defenseless part of him-- the one shaking and curled up around an empty wheelchair whispering ‘dad dad dad’-- and pouring itself out of his mouth that has Josh covering his face with his hands, Simon’s fingers digging into North’s sides, and North burying her face into Simon’s chest trying to smother the scream that's crawling its way up her throat.
Connor doesn't move.
