"I’m sorry," he whispered, the words snatched away by the wind, lost in the vastness of the night. "I’m so, so sorry."
Sorry to his mom, who deserved a son who was happy, who was whole. Sorry to All Might, for disgracing his legacy. Sorry to his friends, for not being strong enough to stay. Sorry to himself, for letting it all consume him. For being so weak.
He closed his eyes, pressing his forehead against the cold concrete parapet, the rough texture a grounding sensation amidst the chaos of his mind. The wind howled around him, a mournful dirge. He tasted salt and blood, from where he’d bitten his lip to stifle a scream. The world felt impossibly vast, and he, impossibly small.
He opened his eyes again, tears still blurring his vision, but he forced himself to look out, to take it all in one last time. The city, vast and beautiful and terrifying. The stars, distant and uncaring. The sliver of moon, a silent witness.
"Im s-so s-sorry Mom,," he whispered, his voice ravaged by tears and despair, barely audible above the rising wind. "Im so sorry...I love you,thanks for everything..."

Izuku learned at a very young age that love is conditional. Love is a reward for following the rules, love is reserved for those who are worthy of it, for those who are loveable.
Izuku was not loveable, well at least not according to anyone he'd ever met.
All he ever wanted to do was help people, to be someone worthy of loving but at 12 years old he's left with nothing and no one. Living on the streets he has to make his own way in life and maybe help some of the people in this community he's found himself in.

Be honest, you came here for the smut didn't you? Maybe you saw my comment on my other fic about writing a slutty Deku story, and you came here, hoping it was this one. I have good news and bad news. The good news, this is it. You found it. I finally started writing it. The bad news is, you're going to have to get through some dark scenes first. I apologize in advance for that. At this point, I'm not sure I know how to write anything except pain and sex. But I digress.
This is a post war BKDK fic. The events before are mostly canon. All for One is dead, One for All is gone. Izuku being okay with losing it never sat right with me. So that is where the canon stops. From here on out we get the trauma, the pain, the anger. Also the angst, we can't forget that. Our favorite emotionally stunted Pomeranian is still angry, even if the sharp edges have been broken off. Izuku has lost his confidence, his joy, his voice, and himself. You get to read as he slowly pieces himself back together, and tries to find a way to feel something other than pain and resentment. It should be a sad, entertaining ride. (I hope.)

After his kidnapping, Izuku struggles. He’s meek and quiet, violent, nothing as he was.
The mumbling Katsuki always complained about, becomes something he begs for. In rough, scarred hands he holds Izuku’s face and tries very hard to be gentle.
There’s a dread that nibbles at his gut.
Izuku has lost something, clearly. Katsuki thinks that maybe, just maybe, if he can get in close enough he can slot back in the missing piece.

Katsuki clutches the award in his hands, and stares out amongst the mass of eyes watching him. They want one thing, and it’s reassurance.
Katsuki is not their man.
“There’s a lot I’m already doing. I don’t need to say it, and I don’t need to wait to be higher in the ranks.” Katsuki answers, strong. This is not his intended answer, and his PR team is going to give him the ass-whooping of his life once he steps off stage. He clears his throat, and promises:
“I’m reopening the search for Japan’s saviour, Deku. Join me or don’t, I don’t care, but I’m bringing him home.”
With that, he turns and walks away. There’s a rumbling roar of the crowd that follows him.
