Summary
“I’m from the undercity.” Viktor snapped, standing to leave before he could let his rage show on his face, hand shaking as he desperately grabbed for his cane. Viktor understood now - he realized - that Jayce would never understand the decisions he had to make, that he could never know Viktor’s secret. Once, he would have been angry at this realization. Instead, he was simply weary, filled with a bone-deep exhaustion that threatened to pull him to the ground.
“I’m sorry.” Jayce muttered after a pause. “It’s just been a lot lately.” And Viktor nodded as though this made his comments better - as though he himself did not have a lot going on as well - as though he were not a dead man walking. Jayce’s promises were empty nowadays, nothing more than words.
Jayce would not understand what he planned to do, Viktor decided. It was pointless to wish for anything other than this.

Summary
Viktor would never become accustomed to the sheer radiance of the Piltovan sun. Nowhere in Zaun matched its dazzling light, even in places where the chasms were open to the sky. The smog of the factories always prevented that light from piercing the depths of the undercity. The only place the sun’s rays even approached the brilliance of Piltover was at the junction of the bridge that connected the two cities.
Viktor and his siblings were well beyond the bounds of the bridge.

In a universe where Viktor's mother was Silco's sister, Viktor was raised by Silco and Vander in Zaun. When Vi gets a tip from Ekko about a place just waiting to be robbed, Viktor knows it's go with her or let his adopted siblings go alone. When the apartment explodes, he doesn't expect the owner of the apartment to protect him, or take the full fall for the explosion.
Now exiled, Jayce finds a new family in Viktor's. Together, they just might change the world.

Summary
With his dream of harnessing magic shattered, Jayce barely manages to escape banishment by joining the ranks of knighthood. To prove himself to the royal guard, he is given the task to protect Piltover's crown prince. At first glance, this does not seem like the kind of quest to give Jayce his honour back - Viktor is strange, yes, but he has absolutely no interest in participating in the ruthless, backstabbing game of politics, and as such he doesn't pose a threat to the power hungry nobles of Piltover and beyond. But Jayce soon notices that at court not all is how it seems, and that if he wants to protect the prince, he'll have to be ready to give everything, even his life and worse, his honour.
Or: Jayce is a knight, Viktor is a prince. I'm sure you know where this is going.

Jayce crouches down to his level, reaching instinctively toward the jagged skin before stopping short.
“You—” he can’t process the idea of it, let alone the reality. “You punched him.”
“Yes.” Viktor flexes his hand. “He deserved it.”
Jayce snorts, helpless. “You’ve got a mean right hook. Since when?”
"Since Zaun. We did not settle disputes with essays there. And the children they, ah—enjoyed the extra challenge, of knocking down a cripple.”

Jayce looked into the fire, there was something undeniably hypnotic about the way the flames danced, “But I promised you,” Jayce breathed out.
“But you asked me to stay,” Viktor sobs, shaking his head, “I should have stayed,”
“We can make ourselves sick over thinking about what we should’ve done,” Jayce offers, “What has happened, had happened, we are here and alive, that is all we’ve gotta concern ourselves with,”

Summary
No tribute truly leaves the arena. No victor truly wins the games.
Post-war Piltover is a system: the Capitol is elevated through the support of its twelve districts, and its people are kept in check through the institution of the annual Hunger Games. Any calls for change or acts of defiance are snuffed out. Any troublemakers are put down. The Council of Piltover will do its due diligence: as long as the districts are silenced, they cannot rise— and their country will be safe.But then, the tributes for the 74th Annual Hunger Games are reaped, and it’s proved that a revolution is not something that just happens. It’s something that builds under the surface, boiling and bubbling until something breaks through. And for Piltover, that something just happens to be a crumpled slip of paper bearing the name 'Violet,' and the subsequent shout of “I volunteer as tribute!”
Powder and Ekko are the District Twelve tributes for the 74th Hunger Games. Their mentor and escort, Viktor and Caitlyn, are going to do everything in their power to bring them home. Only, as it turns out, surviving the games is only the first tick in a countdown to nationwide change.

Summary
Zaun and Piltover have been at war for decades: Jayce and Viktor fight on opposite sides, and one day, they kill each other. Multiple times. Eventually, they stop.
Advance. He must advance.
And he does: he cuts, thrusts, parries.
Until he meets a pair of amber eyes.
The Zaunite standing right in front of him is slender. Maybe too slender for war.
His dark armor hugs his body, but Jayce’s eyes hurry to crawl up to his face: pale skin dotted with moles, gaunt cheeks, thin, twisted lips. The man holds a curved blade in his right hand and a short dagger in his left. He’s heaving, and Jayce thinks he could easily kill him.
And so he moves, his finger tight on the hilt of the sword: he can see the blade cutting through the man’s side. It’s deep enough to kill, and they both know it.
Jayce’s eyes never leave the amber gaze: the man’s eyes, wide with terror, are so beautiful.
A piercing pain blooms in his chest: he looks down, red widening on his white tunic.
Oh , he thinks.

He’s figured it out, finally; he doesn’t need sleep; he needs alcohol, mainly. He kisses Viktor in a beery haze and tells him he aced their finals, that he could ace anything if he tried, that he’s learning to see through time, and strangely Viktor pulls back and feels his forehead, like he’s checking his temperature.
"Warm, but not hot," Viktor says. "Do you feel feverish?"
Jayce chuckles.
"You don’t get it, Vik," he says. "I’m not sick. I’m, like, a god."
He looks at Viktor with shining eyes, his Viktor, his fantastic star, and all he can see is Viktor closing off, his brightness diminishing, sloughing off in waves.
There’s a particular feeling to it, the first time someone looks at you like you’ve lost your mind.

Summary

One deal he made with himself was that he would check the new significantly less, but he could not help how obsessive he got over the news as soon as he and his community fell under scrutiny once again. He made the mistake of checking his phone, another notification from the news about the new legislation. He did not understand why he pressed on the notification to read it, nor why he watched the video of the women celebrating it. Something in his chest snapped. Tossing his phone to one side, “Víš co? Jdi do píče!” he hissed, pulling his headphones. Running his hands through his hair, he bit back a violent reaction that was boiling under his skin.
"Vik?” he called out, he got even more nervous when he did not get an answer, “What’s up?” Jayce asked again. He set down the prototype that he was working on, and made his way over to Viktor’s side of the room.
Viktor did not make a sound or move, Jayce reached out and tentatively rested his hand on Viktor’s lower back, “Querido?” he asked lightly, “What’s happened?”
