Having successfully completed the whole 'convince everyone that they should try peace' plan, Vio-- otherwise known as the vaguely eldritch and very alien roleswapped Purpled who unexpectedly found himself in a reality quite shuffled from his own-- and those around him take some time to breathe and deal with a few loose ends.
There's plenty of time to do that, now, after all. No more wars, no more violence...and definitely, absolutely, positively nothing big that's going to happen anytime soon.

Summary
As the server inches towards a better, kinder future, there remains one thing looming over them all.
Dream, the server's admin, cannot remain imprisoned inside Pandora's Vault. Vio, the roleswapped Purpled leading the push for reformation, poses two options; either they kill him for good, or else they negotiate with him and put him on parole.
Deciding what to do with Dream is a tricky matter made trickier by the Warden refusing to cooperate, and even trickier because Vio has evidence that Quackity-- now dead at his hands-- was being allowed inside to torture the prisoner.
Will the server choose mercy or the blade? What has happened to Dream now that only the Warden is able to see him?
The answer hinges on the simple fact that Vio, despite having swapped roles with Ponk, is still a very fucking stubborn bastard at heart. His kindness may stem from spite, but that doesn't erase that it's still kindness.
Final part of the Reformation Arc. The story continues long afterwards, though.

Summary
The Dream SMP is a legend.
A server that vanished without a trace, the only ones left to speak of it a scant few. Over the years since, even the enticing embers that can be dug up have grown cold.
Instead, a new server is on many people's lips. It's a tiny thing, by all accounts; only a handful of residents. They offer a temporary rest and supplies for those who most need it. The lost, the desperate, those on the run-- all can find a home there...if only for a few days.
While they might not be allowed to stay longer, they find that The Inn welcomes its guests with a warmth and cheer befitting its name.
…At least, as far as most people know. Anyone who can be missed leaves unscathed, but, well…
Not everyone is that lucky.
[Branching AU from Blood & Gold; splits at chapter 21. Anything after that, including Fool’s Gold, is a different timeline. You really do need to read up to chapter 21 of Blood & Gold, though, or this won't make any sense.

Between the prank wars, steady trickle of deeply traumatized refugees, soul editing, and newly-formed army for a six year old, nobody can even begin to argue that Sanctuary isn't a very, very, very weird version of the Dream SMP.
But it's only going to get weirder, because roleswapped Dream, Tommy, and Purpled-- Day, Theo, and Vio-- are still under marching orders to travel the multiverse and witness, intervene, and rescue people as needed.

A certain casino owner's actions will ripple across the fabric of time in ways nobody could have possibly imagined. Bloodstained hands extended in equal parts kindness and spite, truths dragged kicking and screaming into the light, and an unlikely team who grab onto the throat of the server and demand it become better.
Legacies are powerful things, as are wishes. In this case, both are granted through the curling of a monkey's gnarled paw.

Well, their server is peaceful. Now what?
Time themselves offers a surprising and somewhat confusing idea. Well--less of an idea and more of a command.
Or: Versions of Purpled, Dream, and Tommy from a roleswapped world somehow settled into (and reformed) a version of the canon world. Now they have to travel the multiverse for reasons that none of them are terribly clear on.
But you really can't tell Time themselves no, so they guess this is their job now.
I suggest reading A (Mostly Benevolent) Server Takeover & the Effects Thereof [Old, Dubiously "Canon"] first. This won't make much sense otherwise.

The adrenaline was slowly seeping away at this point, ragged breaths escaping him as he stared down at the defeated alien.
This was literally the worst possible outcome that could’ve come from his and his foster mothers’ argument. Like, he expected maybe a scolding when he got back, or at worst the police called on him for running away, but no. Honest to god aliens.Or,
Humans are a young race, and Tommy, a particularly volatile human, is plucked from his home and forced to survive in a foreign land. It certainly doesn't help with the fact that the whole of galactic society is under the impression humans lack the ability for complex thought.
